"For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sWord, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Heb. 4:12).

Any time God's Word is present, healing power comes with it. The power of God for healing is available to be manifested anytime the Word of God is put forward. Why? God's Word is full with healing power. God's Word is anointed. There is healing power in the Word of God.

So, when a person meditates the Word of God, speaks the Word of God, says the Word of God, acts on the Word of God, they are putting themselves in position to have released into their body the healing power of God.

Now notice that Hebrews says that the Word of God is sharp enough to divide soul, spirit and body. You see, there's healing power in the Word to heal the soul. The soul is the mind, will and emotions of an individual.

There are lots of emotionally sick people walking around. I've ministered to thousands of them. Well, I want you to know, you're not going to get healing for your hurt from talking to your girlfriend.

You're not going to get it from calling some talk show, talking to so-and-so psychoanalyst, as they give you two minutes over the air and psychologically discern and heal your problems. That's not going to heal your emotional hurt. You're not going to get it from hanging with your mama or your daddy.

The thing that will heal you, if you are hurt emotionally, if you are torn emotionally, if you have been rendered almost incapacitated emotionally, is the Word of God. You need to meditate that Word. That's what you need, you need to get into the Word and immerse yourself in the Word.

You need to speak the Word over yourself. You need to make a decision to do what the Word says, because the Word has in it healing balm. It is the balm of Gilead. It will heal the hurt, stop the wound, build you up again and set you on your course of walking the way you ought to be-a king and a priest in this life.
