For some people, unless they can see, touch, hear, taste, or smell a thing, they do not believe it exists.
Second Corinthians 5:7 tells us that we must walk by faith and not by sight. Your sensory mechanisms should never dictate your beliefs, especially if you want to see the manifestation of your prayers.
The most important thing in laying hold of the promises of God is to receive them before you actually see them.
Someone might ask, "Brother Dollar, how can I receive something unless I see that it really exists?"
Well, Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Unseen things exist although we don't see them. Faith is the substance, or spiritual material of unseen things. It is the evidence that those things are real.
Because faith and the Word are the same, we can say that the Word of God is the substance of things hoped for, and the Word of God is the evidence of things not seen. Jesus said, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24).
Jesus also said that His words are spirit and life (see John 6:63). In order to worship the Father in spirit and in truth, you must employ the Word of God.
Friend, God has a warehouse in heaven and whatever you need is stored there. He has given us a catalog - His Word - from which to order blessings. All we need to do is place an order by making faith confessions. The Apostle Paul said to give thanks and make your requests known to God (Phil. 4:6).
Whether you need healing, a new house, or a financial windfall, open up your mouth and order it. According to Psalm 103:20, the angels will respond to the voice of His Word and escort your blessings from God's storehouse to yours.
The time is now! Begin to pray with confidence, and make the principles of faith work for you.
