In August of 1801, there was a mighty outpouring of the Spirit of God at a place in Kentucky called Cane Ridge. Cane Ridge, one of America' first "camp meetings," is considered by many to be the most important revival in American history.

At Cane Ridge, the Spirit of God was poured out on "all flesh" as this excerpt clearly shows:
Although only ministers preached prepared sermons, literally hundreds of people became spontaneous exhorters, excitedly giving spiritual advice or tearful warnings. Almost anyone—women, small children, slaves, the shy, the illiterate—could exhort with great effect.

One 7-year-old girl mounted a man's shoulders and spoke wondrous words until she was completely fatigued. When she laid her head on his as if to sleep, someone in the audience suggested "the poor thing" had better be laid down to rest.

The girl roused and said, "Don't call me poor, for Christ is my brother, God my father, and I have a kingdom to inherit, and therefore do not call me poor, for I am rich in the blood of the Lamb!"
I love this where it says, "literally hundreds of people became spontaneous exhorters." Sounds like the Holy Ghost to me.

"Almost anyone—women, small children, slaves, the shy, the illiterate—could exhort with great effect." It sounds like "all flesh" were being used by God.

It's wonderful to get a personal word from a man or woman of God that confirms things in your heart, but it's more wonderful for God to use you to exhort or give a word to someone else.

There is nothing like the power of God flowing through you to help someone else. Let's not deny our children this blessing of God, using them in a powerful and anointed way to minister to others.
