Years ago, after I had seriously committed myself to live for God, I purposed in my heart to know everything about Him. I studied the Bible and prayed often to satisfy my hunger. Unfortunately, the church I attended at the time did not feed me the spiritual food I needed.

Consequently, I became frustrated and started going from one church to the next, trying to satisfy my intense desire for a deeper relationship with Him.

Most of the people I talked to said, "There are certain things the Lord doesn't want us to know." It was as if knowing about the Lord was top secret information, and only the "chosen ones"—whomever they were—were allowed access to it.

After awhile I grew tired of hearing, "We'll just have to wait until we get to heaven to find out." I wanted to experience a personal relationship with God here on earth! I wondered why it was so hard for them to explain the Bible to me in simple terms.

Today, many people are in the same situation I was in years ago. Some are told that knowing God intimately is impossible. They attend churches where the ministers don't make the Word applicable to their lives.

Many Christians are told, "The Lord works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform." Although that's a nice phrase, it's simply not true.

Perhaps this describes your life. You're seeking answers but feel as if you're stumbling in the dark. Let me say this: The Word of God is your lamp of understanding (Ps. 119:105). It will show you Who God is, how He operates, and what He has made available to you.

Reading the Word can set you free. Therefore, study it and allow the Holy Spirit to enlighten you.

Secrets Revealed
Right now getting out of debt, restoring your marriage or getting healed may be a mystery to you, but God has the answer. There is no big secret to receiving what you need from Him.

In fact, Deuteronomy 29:29 says, "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever...."

Based on this scripture, "those things which are revealed" are the secret things that belong to God. Something that is a "secret" is hidden, or kept private.

Notice that we have access to the secret things through revelation. At this very moment we have access to things that are hidden by God because of our covenant relationship
with Him.

You may be wondering, "How can the secret of getting out of my situation be revealed to me?" The Apostle Paul addressed this issue in the book of Romans. He wrote:

...the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began...now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God....
(Rom. 16:25-26)

The Word of God contains the answers you need to be delivered out of your present circumstances, no matter how impossible they may seem. That's why you must make it your final authority. Nothing else should take its place, because nothing else can set you free like the truth found in God's Word.

The Amplified Bible says that the mystery referred to in Romans 16:25 concerns God's plan of redemption. Redemption includes, but is not limited to, being born again. It also consists of a "salvation package," which includes the following fivefold benefits: forgiveness of sins, a reborn spirit, divine health, success, and security.

As you can see, you have a covenant right to prosper and experience God's best in every area of life. That's total life prosperity.
