"He will complete that which concerns you…"

(Psalm 138.8)

Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

God always finishes everything He starts. You can count on it. But do you know what? He doesn’t just care about what pertains to you, He cares about what concerns you. He doesn’t just take interest in His plans for your life. He is interested in you, and what’s going on inside you. Every waking moment, His greatest concern is what’s on your heart and your mind.

The Lord will complete that which concerns me.
(Ps. 138:8)

We need to realize how much God really identifies with us. He identifies with literally everything we go through. If we’ll let Him, He is more than willing to complete, finish, and bring together the things that concern us.

That's what love does! That's what anyone who really loves seeks, more than anything, to do for the object of their affection. That's the kind of God we're dealing with. A God who is concerned about every detail of our lives. And has the power to complete and perfect all that we will but dare to entrust into His hands.

Psalms 37 says,

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass….Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret—it only causes harm.
(Ps. 37:5-8)

"Commit your way to the Lord" is another way of saying "Cast your cares on Him." In both instances, the result is the same. He will take care of it. He has never failed! Every time anyone has looked to Him for help in any area and released that issue to Him, He was faithful to complete it.

Nothing you could bring up would be of too little significance for Him to pay attention to. When the Word says He delights in every detail of our lives it really does mean every detail. Anyone who would go to the effort to number every hair on each of our heads would not be so easily disinterested in every other little thing about us.

If something concerns you, don't ever be afraid to let the Father know about it. No matter how trivial something may seem to talk to God about, go ahead and tell Him. He knows all about it anyway. He longs to help you with whatever you're going through. The worst thing you could do is to not talk to Him about what's concerning you. We're not to try to handle anything on our own, not one single thing, nothing!

If Jesus is really going to be Lord of our lives, we have to give it all to Him. The only one real key to victory is keeping in continual contact with God. Let Him be involved in every area of our lives. He already said that He delights in every detail of our lives. Why not let Him get involved in every one of those details? He is just waiting for us to give Him the opportunity.

If there's something missing in your life, and it concerns you, your Heavenly Father intently desires to complete that in you. Maybe there are some talents, abilities, or life skills that you don't have, and that really bothers you. You don't have to live with lack in your life.

Psalms 23:1 and 34:10 says that you will lack no good thing because the Lord is your Shepherd. "No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." (Ps. 84:11)

First Peter 5:6 says "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…." That's a wonderful verse, but so often we stop short of the key to receiving our "lifting up" because we fail to finish quoting Peter's sentence "...casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully."

In order for God to complete that which concerns us, we have to first relinquish those concerns to Him. No, it is not always easy. But it gets easier each time you stop yourself and hold up to God whatever is concerning you.  That's what these verses are talking about. When you habitually cast all your cares upon the Lord, then that is when you are really walking humbly before God. Then, and only then, will He be able to "exalt you in due time".

He desires more than anything to bless His beloved children, but we must adhere to the order set forth in His Word, so that He can—unhindered by our ignorant resistance. All it takes is to lift that concern up before Him like a little child and say, "Here, Father, would you please take care of this for me? It really concerns me." Then just rest in His awesome peace, knowing that, He really cares about the matter more than you do.

Rest assured that when you give it all to Him,  He will complete that which concerns you.
