What you do with your body affects your mind. If you want to have a clear mind at all times, your mind must have the peace of God.
God doesn't want you to have a confused mind. When God invited me to follow Him, He said, "Norvel Hayes, come and follow me and I will make you a fisher of men."

At that time in my life, I was playing church. I attended church out of mere duty. One day the Spirit of God said very plainly and boldly, "If you don't stop playing church, you are going to go to hell!"

It was very clear to me what God meant. And that is exactly the way God is. Confusion does not exist in Him. You either live for God or you don't.

You represent Jesus or you don't. If you know the Lord but don't serve Him, you are giving up rewards in heaven. Jesus wants you to invite someone to come and go to heaven with you.

God has provided an avenue to keep our minds clear and free from mental confusion through Jesus Christ and the Bible.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Phil. 4:7)
God wants His peace to rest on you. He doesn't want your mind to be confused about anything. He gave us His Word to help us have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16b).

God has had a hard time with man's thinking since the beginning because man is a rebellious creature. In His infinite love for us, He made it easier for man to follow God's ways by giving Jesus Christ to us.

Now that Jesus has paid the price by shedding His blood for us, all we have to do is repent and find out what God intended for life to be.

Clear Your Mind
Without Jesus, man will continue to live in mental confusion. Let the blood of Jesus wash your sins away. Sin causes your mind to be confused. Sin crumbles the foundation of faith. If you commit sin today, your faith won't be strong tomorrow. Your mind will be confused.

God doesn't want your mind to be confused. He wants your mind to be clear, to think according to the Word. But your mind will never be able to think straight if you don't keep your body under subjection and follow God's commands.

You are in control of your body. It is up to you to keep your body under subjection. For example, God blesses sex in the marriage relationship. But if you are not married, you can't have sex. This would place you out of God's will.

What you do with your body affects your mind. If you want to have a clear mind at all times, your mind must have the peace of God. And the only way to have His peace is to live according to the Word.

You have to be honest. You have to tell the truth. You can't cheat people and tell lies. You have to keep your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(1 Cor. 6:19)
