On the cross, Jesus suffered every mental attack you could ever face. He bore all that and suffered for you because He loves you so much. He made it possible for you to have a tranquil heart and mind in every circumstance.
[Jesus said], My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you.... [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
(John 14:27 AMP)
To walk in God's supernatural peace, you have to keep your mind tranquil and worry-free. It is easy for you to keep your spirit in peace because Jesus, the Prince of Peace, abides there. Your mind, on the other hand, is often another matter.

Jesus understands mental anguish because He identified completely with humanity and shared every aspect of human existence (Heb. 2:14-15). He was beaten, ridiculed, misunderstood, despised, rejected, and betrayed. His family thought He was crazy. His disciples deserted Him in His hour of need.

On the cross, Jesus suffered every mental attack you could ever face. He bore all that and suffered for you because He loves you so much. He made it possible for you to have a tranquil heart and mind in every circumstance.

It takes effort to walk in supernatural peace. Reading the Word aloud and hearing yourself speak it is effective because it leaves no room for unrest or disturbing thoughts. You must continually put the Word into your mind to keep it in agreement and at peace with your spirit.

Circumstances cannot take God's peace from you unless you let them. You do not have to become agitated, cowardly, intimidated, disturbed, and unsettled. Take hold of that peace that passes understanding. It belongs to you. 1
