Seeing the unseen is even more important than what we see in the natural—it takes us to where we need to go.
Imagination- (make believers are belief makers).
The works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do.
(John 14:12)
Humans Can Envision Things That Don't Exist
  • Lee Bryan invented the ultra sound. Why didn't someone do it sooner?
  • The world was flat waiting for Galileo to imagine it round.
  • Infections killed easily waiting for Sir Fleming to imagine a mold that could prevent it.
  • It was dark while we waited on Edison to imagine a light bulb.
  • We were on the ground a long time waiting on the Wrights to imagine their plane.
Think outside the box. Children color outside the lines.

Sadly many adults have drawn lines around their lives:
  • My marriage can never work, it's gone too far.
  • My teenager will never quit rebelling.
  • I'll never be healthy again.
  • I'll never get out of debt.
Imagination is what makes the cardboard box more fun than the hundred dollar present that came in it.

After a lifetime of hearing what you can't do, what your forbidden to do, and what's impossible to do — life can grow very small.

God had a Wild Imagination

God had a wild imagination: He loves to imagine the impossible.
  • In eternity He imagined time
  • In chaos He imagined form
  • In darkness He imagined light
  • In divinity He imagined humanity
Jesus, God on Earth in the flesh, let His imagination run wild. He imagined:
  • water becoming wine.
  • waves becoming a walkway.
  • two fish becoming an all you can eat buffet.
  • grown men being born again and of mountains jumping into lakes.
Speaking To The Mountain
We are the ones the Lord said to give orders to mountains.
Have faith in God., I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
(Mark 11:22-23)
Uncommon Knowledge
The world's wisdom cannot compare to God's wisdom.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty...
(1 Cor. 1:27)
  • Carpenters know not to build big boats in the middle of a drought - except Noah.
  • Every woman knows you don't get pregnant at 90 - except Sarah.
  • Every leader knows not to trap your people between the enemy and the sea - except Moses.
  • Every soldier knows you don't tumble walls with a trumpet - except Joshua.
  • Every shepherd knows you don't knock down giants with a sling shot - except David.
  • Every blind man knows spit and mud do not make eyes see - except the man at the pool of Siloam.
  • Every prisoner knows chains don't fall off wrists - except Peter.
  • Every religious terrorist knows you don't suddenly love your enemy - except Paul.
Oswald Chambers said, "Imagination is the greatest gift God has given us."
As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
(Prov. 23:7)
We get what we look for.

Writing It Down, Making It Happen
Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not of.
(Jer. 33:3)
Mighty: previously in-accessible  resources that were always there but you were not looking for them.

Habakkuk 2:2-3: Write the vision — it will tarry.

Lou Holtz  and his 107 goals are a great example of this point. Out of work, he sat down at the table and at the encouragement of his wife, he wrote down 107 goals that covered his life as a husband and father, religiously, financially, professionally and personally.

He just started writing things down that seemed so outlandish at the time. He wanted to jump out of a plane, be on the Tonight Show, make a hole in one, have dinner at the White House and visit with the Pope among many others.

Today,  he's accomplished 102 of the 107. There is a power is setting the vision and writing it down. No matter how silly or outlandish, how insignificant or difficult.

Seeing the unseen is even more important than what we see in the natural—it takes us to where we need to go.
