And that's exactly what is happening right now on planet earth in the existence of man. God's plan is being carried out. It's much like an architect who must spend hundreds of hours working on a blueprint, on a plan, on a design for a particular building. When he finishes the drawing, he's got it all laid out exactly as he saw it inside, and then he begins. And that's what God is doing in your life. He has a plan for you. He is saying, "Let's begin."
Jeremiah 29: 11-13 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
God has a plan for each and every one of our lives. Ephesians 1:4-11 reveals to us that God's plan (even before the foundations of the world) is to lavish us with His wisdom, His understanding and His favor.
Lavish means to bestow with profusion; produced in abundance; extravagant; very abundant; more than is needed; pour out as of wastefully.
So God's plan, His blueprint, for your life is to pour out upon you in profusion, in abundance, in extravagance, more than what is needed. What do you do to obtain this abundance? Seek God. Require God with every fiber of your being as you're walking toward Him.
Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's (own) handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us (taking paths which He prepared ahead of time), that we should walk in them (living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live)."
Recently I was in the midst of doing the most wonderful project I have ever been involved in. And that's building a playhouse for my grandchildren. I lavished this upon them. It's not a little 10 x 10 playhouse. I am producing in abundance. This playhouse is extravagant.
It all started with a plan of how I could bless or lavish my grandbabies. I began to predetermine what I wanted for them. I began to draw it out on paper. And then I began to mediate on it, and think on it. I want them to have everything.
I am building more than what is needed. I'm lavishing them. And I'm having just as much fun preparing this for them as they will have playing in it. And do you know that both of my little granddaughters are totally unaware right now that Mimi is building them a playhouse? They can't comprehend it. The oldest granddaughter just turned two, and I'll tell her, "Kassidi, Mimi's building you a playhouse."
She just smiles and says, "A playhouse, Mimi?" She doesn't know what "playhouse" means. She sees the little furniture, and she loves to play on it. But she has no idea how extravagant her little playhouse will be. My other granddaughter is only 5 months old, and I'll hold her in my arms and say, "Madison, Mimi is going to lavish you with abundance."
Well, if I can plan this for my grandchildren that I love with every fiber of my being, how much more has the Heavenly Father planned for us a life that is lavish?
It's the good pleasure of my will that enabled me to produce this for my grandchildren. We've been adopted by God as children according to the good pleasure of His will. It's brought me the greatest pleasure on the earth to produce this for my grandchildren. I meditated on it. I thought about how I could improve it? How could I bless my grandchildren more?
Well, God meditated and thought on the plan for your life. He's thought out every detail. It's just a matter of you walking towards Him, loving Him, going towards Him with everything in you. And as you're walking in the will and in the plan of God, those things you need will just be there. The need that you have in your life will be met.
My grandchildren never lost one night's sleep over that playhouse. They didn't even know it was being made for them. And when it was finished, they just walked right into it thoroughly furnished.
And you can do the same thing. God has a blueprint for you. It's all laid out. You just need to seek Him, desire His guidance and walk right into the plan God has laid out for your life.
