Basically this means, don't allow things to get out of control. Deal with and sort out issues when they are small, make the necessary changes to how you think, your attitude, your lifestyle etc. before things get "big" or you have more responsibility in life.

For example, in the area of your physical health, it is very important to look after your body, get the necessary rest and beneficial nutrients and exercise that is required so that you will live long and strong.

"Burning the candle at both end's" is not going to do you or your family any good in the long run. Also, we really shouldn't have to be entertained all the time. Enjoy life and enjoy the moment, allowing yourself to enjoy your family, your relationships and even your own company.

If you are busy and always having to "do" something, then you are opening yourself up for stress. It is the stress of always having to be on the go or be entertained etc. which has a major impact upon our bodies and will cause negative responses.

More About Stress
What exactly is stress? How is it caused? What are the symptoms?

Stress as defined in the Webster's dictionary is…a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation.

Causes of stress include divorce, death, unhappiness in workplace, traffic jams, paying bills, family tension, noise, crowds, sleep disturbance, isolation, hunger, and danger.

Symptoms/effects of stress include: mental and emotional fatigue, drug and alcohol dependency, loss of appetite, physical weariness, high blood pressure, frequent headaches, stomach problems, heart problems, migraines, ulcers, insomnia, hypertension, chronic back pain, digestive upsets, and back pain.

It has been estimated that two-thirds of all visits to physicians are for stress-related problems. Recent evidence indicates that the physical changes associated with stress may contribute to the leading causes of death including heart disease and cancer.

The Jesus Factor
Jesus offers us a stress free life! It is in the Word of God that we will find the solutions for living a stress free life. Part of this is taking the responsibility for your own life and creating a balance in all that you do so that you will not get burnt out or ill because of overdoing things.

By the same measure, eating foods that harm instead of foods that heal are not going to help your body stay healthy. Take stock of your life and get everything balanced.

God desires for each one of us to live a stress free life that is totally satisfied! Psalm 91:16 says "with long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation."

The most effective solution is to find and address the source of your stress or anxiety. This may not always be obvious but stop and consider the following:

What do you worry about most?
Is something constantly on your mind?
Does anything in particular make you sad or depressed?

Now, stop stress before it stops you!

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:8 (Amp.) "For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honourable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]."

The Message translation reads, "Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse."

It will take work but it is a solution to winning in life and to living life stress free. Focus on thinking on the good report and by doing so press back on the pressure that is trying to crush you.

God is for you, as a born again child of God, He is your Heavenly Father and according to Matthew 6:25-33, as you decide to live your life for Him and follow His ways of doing things then He will give you everything you need.

Verses 30-33 in the Message translation says, "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met."

Mark 4:18-19 MSG: "The seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it."

Stress and worry will hinder you! Fear attracts to us the things we are afraid of. What you think upon will make an impact in your life, this is why we are instructed to think on things that are good, as we've read in Philippians.

God's will is that you live life free from stress! First of all, you need to admit to yourself if there are any areas of stress (worry and anxiety) in your life. Repent, cast the care upon the Lord, determine that you are going to live life worry and stress free and then deal with those stressors and change the little things that you can do that will not allow stress to take a hold in your life. Constantly apply the principles of God so that you will win in life.

Remember Jesus Christ has set you free and it is in Him and by His strength that you are able to walk out this freedom in every area of your life!

Winning in Finances
Do all you know that you know to do to accomplish God's will for your life! This includes in the area of your finances. As you do your part and put into practice God's Kingdom principles of increase then you will walk in the benefits of the Kingdom.

Place your hope in God and His financial system and not in the world's system, destruction and famine will come in the world, but this is not your portion as a believer, a child of God.

Stay in faith, stay in the Word of God, do what He has said to do and worry not!
