Plug the hole in your soul


Spirit, soul and body is how you have been formed! By accepting Jesus as Saviour, the spirit or inner man has become new and alive to God. Now God, by His Spirit fills your spirit, the Greater One lives within you and supplies you with everything you need to be a victor, a winner in life!

Jesus attained an eternal victory that cannot be taken from Him or altered. He is forever King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The devil is not stronger than Jesus, and with Jesus in your life, he is not stronger than you! I John 4:4 AMP, "Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world."

However you must take the victory or else it will be taken from you. Jesus has given you His authority to exercise on earth. He has made you a winner, a victor and an overcomer by His victory. You are indeed on the winning side!

The devil who is the thief wants to steal, kill and destroy. Part of his strategy in attacking the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to hit the shepherd (pastor) to scatter the sheep. And when you speak or act against your Pastor you are participating in his attack. Likewise he wants to alienate you so that you become cut off from those whom God has placed in your life to help you grow and develop in your Christian life. It is godly to have covenant relationships, someone that you can call upon to help you out.

Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. It is necessary to fill your soul with the Word of God, so that you are not a mess. The enemy is waiting like a vulture to pick some people off because they have a hole in their soul! If you don't 'on purpose' fill your soul with the life-giving Word then it will be filled with other stuff. The lies, false identity, fears, discouragement, etc from the world will get in.

Coming to church is important. Choosing to miss services and being picky about when you go to church does have a negative impact. God set up the structure of coming together to worship and receive from Him. There is a corporate mission to accomplish; all the individual lights now come together as one great light, it's about working as His body, becoming the glorious church without spot or wrinkle.

Got Word?
The word is in you, in your heart and in your mouth. Jesus has the victory and He gave it to us, all we need is something to plug the hole in our soul and what we use to do this is the Word of God. Romans 10:8 KJV says: "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach"

While you are quoting the Word, your world is held together, but while you are not quoting it your world is going to collapse. Hebrews 1:3 KJV states: "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

If God ever overstepped His Word it all would become null and void and the devil would take the throne, but this is not going to happen. You will not get away with no Word or prayer. When you think everything is all right that is when the devil strikes, he waits for an opportune moment, when you are not on guard that is when he leaps...he tries to make you relax and step it down, but remember if you don't exercise your authority and walk in victory over him then he will run all over you!

Overcome in Him
You are a winner, spirit, soul and body! Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers so that you could stand in the victory. Consider Colossians 2:15 AMP: "[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]."

Fill the hole in your soul with the Word, don't allow yourself to be easy pickings.

Basically by doing this you will fill yourself, spirit, soul and body so full of the Word of God that you will think, act, and live in line with what God has said. Therefore, when the enemy attacks you will be able to shut down that attack and will not believe the lies with which he tries to fill your soul.
