You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9

God's power is increasing in Christians everywhere. They are flowing in the anointing—ministering to others and seeing miracles. Despite all that, there's still a bunch of religious people who say, "Oh, no. I'm not anointed. I'm nothing more than an unworthy sinner. Jesus was the only One truly anointed."

That's an ungodly lie! Jesus isn't the only one anointed anymore! It was never God's intention to simply give Jesus His power and leave it at that. God knew that wasn't enough!

That's why He sent Jesus to the cross and then raised Him from the dead. He wanted to open the way for us all to receive His power. That's been God's plan from the beginning. Through Jesus the Anointed One, He raised up a whole nation of kings and priests and called them His Church.

That's who today's verse says we are! We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood! We are anointed with the Anointing of the Anointed One!

We are to be living proof that Jesus is alive and anointed with bondage-destroying power because His Anointing is on us.

In His Name, we pray for the sick and they recover. We cast out devils. We speak His promises in faith and set captives free! We're not unworthy sinners. The Bible says we are sons of the Most High God.

If a classmate asks you, "Do you mean to tell me you have the power to heal? We should answer them boldly and say, "Yes! Because the One Who is in me is greater than the one that is in the world. The Holy Spirit within me does the work!" After all, Jesus isn't the only anointed One!
