"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat" (Gen. 3:6).

Walking in dominion and authority means not being sidetracked from your God-given assignment. If you are not fulfilling that assignment, you are committing the sin of omission. It is obvious, then, that not only must you know your assignment, but you must do what God has given you to do.

When Adam failed to follow the first three commands God gave him, he opened the door to the ultimate sin that caused him to be separated from God. God initially put him in the garden to dress it, and keep it. That was his assignment. And that is where he failed.

Many times we want to look at what a person does, rather than what they didn't do. What one doesn't do is just as important as what they do. In Adam's case, it was what he didn't do that opened the door to this final act of partaking of the forbidden tree.

When Adam failed to keep the first things God told him to do, that opened the door to his exile from the garden of Eden. Before God command him not to eat of the tree, He commanded him to take dominion and authority over all the earth. Had Adam and Eve taken their dominion, the serpent would have been sent on its way.

Adam's authority extended to anything breathing on the planet. That is why when the serpent started talking to Eve,disagreeing with what God had said, all Adam needed to say was "Leave!"

There would have been nothing the serpent could have done, because God had vested the authority into that man. That man had glory and honor on him. He had the anointing on him. And when he spoke, there was power to back it up. That serpent would have had to leave.

You have dominion and authority in the earth, because the anointing of God is on you to back up what you say. It is up to you to walk in it. When sickness comes to you or your family, tell it to leave. When lack tries to enter in, do what the word of God says where that is concerned. The scriptures are full of power; the power you need to resist the devil and walk in your dominion and authority.

Don't let circumstances talk you out of walking in God best for your life. You were created for greatness, because the greater One is on the inside of you. And greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!

Walk in your dominion and authority.
