Did you ever feel that gentle tugging of the Holy Spirit upon your heart, to go pray and fellowship with the Lord? If you obeyed and yielded to that prompting, God met and blessed you.
"For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." (Ps. 107:9)

You've got to believe God will meet you when you press into Him.

God promises He will be found when you desire Him with your whole heart. Deut. 4:29 says: "But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all they heart and with all they soul."

This reminds me of the first commandment, that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our being. Isaiah 55:6 shows us we don't want to delay, but rather: "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near."

Did you ever feel that gentle tugging of the Holy Spirit upon your heart, to go pray and fellowship with the Lord? If you obeyed and yielded to that prompting, God met and blessed you.

But remember the time you delayed, and thought what you were doing at the time was more important? Later you obeyed, but delayed obedience is disobedience, and you missed God's timing and the blessing attached to diligently seeking Him.

Hebrews 11:6 says: "Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." God certainly rewards you when you are spiritually hungry—He fills you with the Holy Spirit and gives more grace.

James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded." Sin and the glory do not mix.

If you are too dignified to be hungry and touched by the Lord, that is pride. "The proud he knows afar off." (Ps.138:6) " ...God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6). "Fear of man brings a snare" (Pr.29:25).

Complacency and being lukewarm repel the Lord. (Rev. 3:16). The solution? Repent, turn around and change. Acts 3:19 says "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."

Jer. 29:11-13: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Run to Him. Give your life to Jesus—He's your number one priority. Be persistent. Let Him touch you with His love and fill you today.
