It isn't God's choice that we are separated from Him, but He gives us the right to make that choice, even if it's wrong.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer. 29:11).

Benjamin Franklin once wrote, "You don't break God's laws, you break yourself against God's laws."

We become our daily choices.

I read when Abraham Lincoln was president he kept a cabinet member waiting for some time. As he entered the room, the President excused himself for his delay, and then said, "The affairs of state are so grave, I had to spend an extra hour today in prayer."

What do we do with our daily choices? Do we cut down on our prayer time when we are busy with outside responsibilities?
