Let's Get in the Way!
This truth applies to all things divine: we gain access to higher realms of responsibility and privilege by our ruling and reigning over the things God gives us.

One man who proved out this principle was the renowned prayer warrior, Rees Howells. If you've read about him, you'll remember how his prayer life progressed. He started out watching and praying over individuals. Then God set him in a college and assigned him to watch over it. When he was released from his burden of prayer for the college, God gave him a burden for national and international affairs.

By the end of his life, Rees Howells was winning wars and changing the course of nations on his knees. He was accomplishing far more through prayer than he did when he first began. Why? Because at each stage of his call as God lifted him up and gave him greater territory, God gave him more help from heaven. As a result, no devil in hell could get around him, over him, or through him. He was always in Satan's way.

I want to be in the way like he was, don't you? I want to occupy the place God has given me in the spirit and say, "Devils, you're not coming here! You're not having this church. You're not having this region. You're not having these leaders. You're not having this nation."

If we'll take that attitude, we as pray-ers can join together in the spirit arm-in-arm and form an unbroken line of watchers on the wall. We can see to it that there's no gap where the Devil can get into our territories. We can make sure that in every city, state, and region of America (or whatever nation you live in), God has people who are in the way!

Already I can see we're making progress in that direction. I see places where the Lord is not just working but taking over through the prayers of His watchmen. Every day, we're getting more help from heaven. We're like Elisha when he was surrounded by the angels and chariots of fire. We can say with confidence, "There are more with us than against us. God has given us all the help we need!"
