We are living in a very exciting time for the Church and the world. We are living in the last days, the days that Haggai the prophet taught about when he wrote:

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
(Haggai 2:6-9)

God is shaking the heavens and the earth with His mighty Spirit. Revival is truly in the land. When this scripture says that after the shaking, "the desire of all nations shall come," I believe it is referring to Jesus coming again, I say this because the desire of all nations is to have peace, and we know that Jesus is the Prince of peace.

The nations of the world may not realize that Jesus is the Prince of peace, but one day all the nations of the world will experience Him. Jesus came to bring peace on earth, and He is what all nations desire. He will also fill the Lord's house with His glory, or His manifested presence, for all to experience Him.

In First Thessalonians 4:16-18, is clear that Jesus is coming again to take believers out of the earth:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

I believe God wants to accomplish great things in the earth through His people before He sends Jesus to catch the Church away (see 1 Thess. 4:16-18). The Lord has begun a mighty revival in the earth that is changing the hearts of people around the world.

God Changes Our Hearts
One of the first things God wants to accomplish through revival is to give each person a changed and repentant heart. God promised through the prophet Ezekiel,

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh, and I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
(Ez. 36:26-27)

When the salvation power of God touches a person, his or her heart is changed. An encounter with the Lord brings an everlasting change.

God said that He would take out the old stony heart and replace it with a new one. The Lord has the ability to recreate a person on the inside and make him or her new again. That's powerful!

A Life Dead Unto God
A life without being born-again is a life that is dead unto God. But through salvation and repentance we are recreated with a new heart from Him. Our spirit is made alive to communicate with Him.

Faith in His promises and obedience to His voice spring naturally from the new heart and spirit He places within us. A song we sing in church says, "I have something on the inside working on the outside, Oh what a change in my life."

God is in the business of making things new!

The apostle Paul wrote of this transformation saying, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"
(2 Cor. 5:17).

Paul continues to explain in the next few verses that a natural result of the changes God makes in us is that we are given the ministry of reconciling others to God:

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
(2 Cor. 5:18-21)

The Need For Revival
Revival is needed today in the body of Christ. All believers are meant to be ambassadors for Christ, and we need revival to remove the chains of tradition and dead religion from our lives, which have kept God's people in bondage too long.

God is re-firing His Church!

He is revealing Himself through His Word and giving His people the power to live obedient, abundant, and a blessed filled life. It is wonderful!
