In today's society, many people base their importance or their value on what family they were born into. If they were born into a family of prominence, then they automatically have a sense of self-worth. However, if they were born into poverty, they feel like the odds are against them, and they have to prove their self-worth. It's not that way in God's family.

If you were born into the Rockefeller family or some other wealthy family, you would inherit millions of dollars. You would never have to worry about paying your bills on time, putting food on the table or buying clothes to wear.

When the Rockefeller children turn 16, and it's time for them to go down to the car dealership, they will not go to the used car lot and pick out a car that has 150,000 miles on it, been in about five or six wrecks, and has retread tires on it. What do they do? They take those children to the car dealership that they want, and they go in there and pick out the color, the make, the model, whatever they want, and they write a check for it.

When those children get ready to build their home, they don't try to find one that has been foreclosed on or just scrape by with putting down the minimum deposit required. Those children just go and get what they want. Why? Because they were born into that family. They don't struggle believing, they don't struggle for a roof over their head, they don't struggle for a decent car to drive, and they don't struggle for the food on their table. They don't struggle. Why? Because they are born into the right family.

Well, you were born into the family of God, and your days of struggling are over. The struggle ceases when you realize what family you have been born into. It is your right, it is your heritage, it is your portion, and it is your birthright.

You Are Handpicked by God
"Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]

[So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,

Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence),

Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed and set forth in Him,

[He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth.

In Him we also were made [God's] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will."
(Eph. 1:4-11 Amplified)

Did you really read those verses? Don't skip over the Scriptures because they will set you free and get your mind renewed. You will never experience all that God has for you until you first of all comprehend God's love for you and the rich heritage you were born into.

Remember when God took Abraham outside and had him pick up the sand that was on the ground? He had him look at that sand as it ran through his fingers and said, "I'm going to cause your descendants to be like the sand that's on the shore. I'm going to cause them to be like the stars that are in the sky. You won't be able to number them." (Author's paraphrase.)

He had Abraham look at it with his eyes, think on it, dwell on it, and meditate on it until he could actually conceive it. The more he could talk about it and see it, the bigger that desire grew on the inside of him. He became determined, he became focused, he became fixed, and he became absorbed with this Word from God. And it came to pass.

Through the years, Satan has tried to put a damper on our faith by saying, "You can't have that. You don't deserve that. You're not good enough to have that. What makes you think you can be healed? What makes you think you can do that? It can happen for other people, but not you!"

Those are lies from the devil. That's how Satan tries to suppress us, keep us down and prevent us from believing for God's total best in our lives. If you can't conceive it, you can't receive it. If you can't imagine God healing your body, you'll never walk in divine health. If you can't imagine living debt-free, then you'll always have financial burdens. You've got to see yourself walking in the plan that God's prearranged and planned ahead of time for you.
