Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

Truly, we are living in a time where the fields are ripe and white for harvest. Jesus did not tell us to wait for a future date, until the harvest will be ready, He told us to look up and see that the harvest is ripe right now! The harvest has always been ripe—in every generation—the Church has just been oblivious. A precious few have enough spiritual sense to see and seize the opportunity.

Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.  Matthew 9:37-38 AMP

The Father says that it is His harvest! He counts every plant as His. He is just waiting for and looking for laborers willing and prepared to share the good news. The fields are ready. They are just waiting to hear this good news. They are just waiting to be claimed and confirmed as His. They are waiting for you!

The harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few, therefore it is important that we all get involved. God tells us to pray that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into His harvest. The Greek word for “send” translated in the King James actually means “eject” which is rendered as “force out and thrust” in the Amplified Bible. We are to pray that God would eject laborers into the harvest. That is a mighty strong word. Most of us try to just tiptoe into the field, if we go at all, but God wants to launch us!

Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,  and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’  But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’  And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’  Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’  So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’  And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’  Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.  For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’
(Luke 14:16-24 NKJV)

The master told the servant to compel the lost, the sick and the dying to come in. In the Amplified Bible it says, “Go out into the highways and hedges and urge and constrain [them] to yield and come in, so that my house may be filled.” Notice that the master first sent his servant out to invite people to his supper; then he sent him back out to bring them in; then again to compel them to come in. There is urgency in his call and he won’t take “No” for an answer! This is the Great Commission not the great suggestion! We must move with haste and determination.

Ways For You To Be Involved:
PRAY - Pray that the Lord of the harvest will thrust forth laborers. Pray that God will allow you to be a part of this great end-time harvest. Remember, the only thing we can take with us when we leave this earth, is people.

BE INVOLVED - Come and help us on the streets, in the retirement homes, in the schools, university campuses, hospitals, etc. we need laborers, we need helpers. Pray about being involved financially in the harvest of souls.
