In this walk of life we have come across many delays in our lives that we have allowed to turn into disappointments. Not realizing that the delay could have been just a process. What's being processed, you may ask? The answer: You!
In Luke 4:4 Jesus states that “…man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Maybe that word that was divinely spoken to you by a seasoned prophet or you were studying one day and received a rhema word (spoken word) from the Lord. That word spoken could be a proceeding word. This could be a necessary process that you will go through before obtaining what was spoken to you concerning the manifestation of it.
Now let’s think about it, in Psalms 84:11b it reads “No good thing would He withhold from them that walk uprightly in Him.” So, that means there is something we need to do on our end until manifestation. How about developing some patience, longsuffering or maybe thankfulness until the appointed time?
What about working on “not fainting” in our mind? Doesn’t it say in Gal 6:9b “…we should obtain if we faint not?” How about controlling what you allow to come out of your mouth that is contrary to what you believed you received? Here are some great ones: How about developing in the fruit of the Spirit?
Wow! Time sure does fly while developing or working out.
Then before long you look up and what could have turned into a disappointment, ends up being the manifestation of His goodness in your life of that proceeding Word of God!
Remember, those who keep their mind on Him, He will keep them in perfect peace!
So the next time you start to feel discouraged because of a delay, remember don't think delay, think process!
