Abundance of Grace

by Tim Davidson | Devotions, Featured Devotions

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

(Rom. 5:17 KJV)

Death ruled like a king because Adam sinned. Because of what Jesus Christ has done, God has been so kind to us, and accepted us. That kindness and that acceptance are given in abundance as a gift called grace.

The Message Bible says: If death got the upper hand through one man’s wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this wildly extravagant life-gift, this grand setting-everything-right, that the one man Jesus Christ provides?

Grace is defined as the favor of God and His divine influence upon our heart. In Christ Jesus God will pour out an abundance of His favor and influence upon us. Jesus wants to influence us to be like Him every day and in every way.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Today God is influencing my life with kindness, favor and grace.
