Add Knowledge To Your Virtue

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your…virtue, knowledge.”

(2 Peter 1:5)

Again I must emphasize the importance of growing in the knowledge of God. God thinks differently than we think. That’s because He’s far above all the issues and circumstances we see. God looks at what we are going through from the place of victory and power.

We, on the other hand, look at everything at ground level. It doesn’t take much of a molehill to God for us to think it’s a mountain.

The Message Bible says: “So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with…spiritual understanding….”

When we spiritually understand that God is for us, and He will use all His divine ability to make us successful, our viewpoint changes. We have the knowledge in Christ to join forces with God to overcome every hindrance we face.

We are seated together with Christ in Heavenly places. We can see our own circumstances through His eyes and know that they are but molehills. So add knowledge to your virtue.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I add knowledge to my faith. I daily grow in the Word and my walk with Jesus Christ.
