“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
All the words of God are put into effect and made certain by Jesus through us. Jesus Christ says “Yes” to all God’s promises. He makes God’s many promises come true in us to the glory of God the Father.
The Message Bible says: “Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident.”
When we take God’s Word and remind Him of His promises in Christ, His answer is always yes. God never says no to one of His promises. That’s because we have Jesus to say “amen” or “so be it” each time we stand on God’s Word trusting Him for the answer.
It’s like holding the Word before God like a mirror. He then sees Himself in it and is reminded that He made the promise in the first place. Seeing Himself He cannot deny the request.
All the promises of God have their affirmation in Jesus. God says yes as I stand on His Word. I put my complete trust in Him to do what He said He would do.
