“Then we, which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
When Jesus returns with the trumpet of God, we, the living ones still on earth, shall simultaneously be caught up along with the resurrected dead, in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. We will not precede them, nor will we follow them later. We will join them as they go.
The Message Bible says: “Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master.”
I had a dream of this event some years ago. It was awesome. I was so keenly aware of how much love and acceptance I felt from Jesus as I beheld His white-robed figure descending in the midst of dark clouds of glory.
Angels were flying everywhere. Multitudes were rising from the ground and then as they swept past me, I also started to rise to meet Jesus in the air. What an expression of love. What an impact. What a promise. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Jesus washes me, cleanses me, and makes me acceptable and ready to go.
