Dig Your Spouse

Live joyfully with the wife whom you love….
(Eccl. 9:9 NKJV)

If you’re married…today is the day to dig your spouse! Live joyfully with your husband or wife. Life is too hard to not have fun with the love of your life.

Maybe you’ve gotten into some marital ruts and it’s time to shake things up again! Perhaps, you’ve been taking each other for granted? Been selfish? Bored? A bump on a log? Too busy? Distracted? Mad? Been half-hearted toward your spouse and marriage?

You can change that…today! Why don’t you take the initiative and plan something fun for the two of you! What do you enjoy? A romantic getaway? A ski trip? Candlelight dinner? Date night, movie and coffee shop? Time to cuddle? Going for a walk? Playing golf? Riding motorcycles? Being crazy and outrageous? Hiking around NYC? Laying on the beach? Hitting a museum? A picnic in the park or trip to anywhere? Go do something fun and remember; laughter is a must! One of God’s best blessings is your spouse–don’t miss out on the joy God intended. Get refreshed—just the two of you.

Here’s the way The Message Bible says it:

Relish life with the spouse you love each and every day of your precarious life. Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange for the hard work of staying alive. Make the most of each one!
(Eccl. 9:9, MSG)

Live joyfully with that spouse of yours, today!

Say This:

“Father, I thank You for my spouse ____________ (insert his/her name) and I ask You to help us make time to live joyfully with one another. I pray You rekindle the spark, fun and laughter in our marriage. Lord, give me creative ideas to make our marriage fun. Thank You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

(If you are single…perhaps today is a good day to pray for the married couples you know and/or pray for your future spouse and your future married life together.)
