“And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee” (Deut. 28:11 KJV).
The Lord will cause you to rise above your current financial situation and bless you real big if you do what is required to become a person of faith.
I always say to people, “Do what’s required to be a person of faith.” So many people say, “I don’t want to go backward from where I am now.” But, so often, it wasn’t the Lord who got them to where they are.
The Bible said, “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Ps. 127:1). In other words, sometimes people build themselves up to where they are, and they don’t want to go back. But if you’re going to follow God, you’re going to have to get rid of what you built and let God start you over.
You may suffer a little bit in the natural early on, but if you let God start you over, and you stick with it, then you’ll start looking a little bit like Deuteronomy chapter 28.
It will start happening in your life a little bit at a time. It will get to a point where people will say about you, “There’s got to be something wrong with this. They’re prospering too much.” Remember, there’s always persecution with the blessings of God (Mark 10:30).
But you must maintain constant obedience. That means you have to do what’s required, stay in the Word every day, and stay with it. In some cases, it may take years to get there. People look at where I am in ministry, but they didn’t see me when I was just starting out. They didn’t see where I came from to get here.
In fact, when I first started in the ministry, people disdained me. They said I was stupid and they called me a fool, saying, “That brother had a pension, working for a great corporation.” But, the Lord told me to leave it, work for Him, and start Word of Faith Church. I obeyed Him, and I have been abundantly blessed. God will do the same for you. Obedience brings the blessing.
What are you waiting on? You must obey God to get the blessings of Deuteronomy 28. Be blessed today and start to obey the Word of God for your life.
