Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes that they may also obtain the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
Can we endure all things for the sake of those who have been chosen by God’s love, so they, too, may receive salvation from Christ Jesus? Paul says we can. He said he was willing to put up with anything so God’s special people will be saved by the power of Jesus.
The Message Bible says: That?s why I stick it out here—so that everyone God calls will get in on the salvation of Christ in all its glory.
Sometimes we lose focus of what Christian living is all about. We must remember that we are here for the purpose of revealing Jesus to the world around us. It isn’t just about our comfort and our care.
At times we must shoulder the responsibility of the gift of salvation we have received and live in such a way that others may see the light and be saved as well. As we do this, it is for eternal glory.
I can endure tough times and tough people because Jesus endured it all for me. Use me, Lord, for your glory.
