“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.”
This verse reveals that in Christ Jesus circumcision or non-circumcision is equally of no significance. What really matters is having faith in God. But the Bible also reminds us that our faith only works through love. In other words, our faith in God only works for us when we walk in love toward the people God loves and died to redeem.
The Message Bible says: “For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.”
Isn’t it wonderful that God looks at us though relationship and not through regulation of religious laws? All that really matters is that our faith makes us love others even as Jesus loves us.
I am a follower of Christ Jesus and it makes no difference whether I am circumcised or not. I walk in love and my faith in God works for me today.
