1 Peter 2:10 says, “Which in time past we were not a people…” There has never been a people or a nation like this nation. “But are the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
Another translation says it this way, “…the former nobodies are now God’s somebodies.” Have you ever been around people that ignore you as if you are nobody? Doesn’t that irritate you?
Who this world says is somebody is really nobody in the light of eternity. People will stand around in hotels in Las Vegas and wait for somebody. When a movie star walks into a church, everyone will be buzzing, “Do you know who was in church last night?”
Instead, you ought to look around and say, “Do you know who was in church last night? We had a lot of somebodies.”
You Cannot Be a Nobody
Because you are in Him (in Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing), you cannot be a nobody. When you are in Christ, you have access to the highest place in the universe! You can go right to the throne of God and say, “Abba Father. That is my daddy. I get immediate recognition. I am will known in the realm of the Spirit.”
In Acts 19: 13-16 when the seven sons of Sceva tried to cast that devil out, he said, “Jesus I know and Paul I know, but who are you? Do you need to find out who you are? You cannot tell the devil, “My pastor said…” The devil will say, “I know Jesus, and I know your pastor, but who are you?”
You have a reputation not only in Heaven, but also in hell. Your picture is up on the wall of the post office in hell with the caption, “Kill this person. Stop him any way you can.”
When you know the Greater One lives on the inside of you, and you have been born of God, you know the devil does not have a shot at you. Whenever he comes around, you always disappear! You climb right up into Him (in Christ’ the Anointed One and His Anointing).
The devil says, “Where did he go?” You look just like Christ because the anointing of Christ comes on you. Climb up into the rock Moses climbed into. He received a revelation of God and saw the glory of God. You can, too.
You Are Somebody
You are somebody in Christ! The reason people kill themselves is because they think, “I am not anybody. Nobody cares about me. I walk by people, and they do not even look at me.” They get an inferiority complex.
When you know who you are in Christ, you cannot have an inferiority complex.
One man said, “I didn’t have any complex; I really was inferior!” However, most people are not really inferior. The devil has lied to them so long, they believe what he has told them, and then they go through life believing they are inferior.
When you know who you are in Christ, you cannot have an inferiority complex. I am not talking about being arrogant; I am talking about a simple, calm assurance of what God has done for you in Christ and who you are in Him.
Things Are Arranged Ahead For You
You are somebody in Him. When somebody important like the President of the United States goes somewhere, arrangements are made ahead of time for him. Important people do not show up and then people start jumping around trying to fix something for them.
When you are a somebody in Him (in Christ), God has things prearranged ahead of time for you. Walking by faith and not by sight causes things to be set up ahead of time because somebody is coming.
When you are in a hospital room and the doctor tells you that the person in that room is going to die, you say, “Hold it! Somebody just walked in. I have authority in the name of Jesus to lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” You cannot judge or estimate yourself after the flesh. You have to see yourself in Him (in Christ’ the Anointed One and His Anointing)!
