“Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power…” (Ps. 110:3 NKJ).

What a wonderful promise for these last days prior to the return of the Lord Jesus – a host of people volunteering their services in the day of the Lord’s power. We have not yet seen this response in full expression, but it is starting to happen.

In the original Hebrew the day of Your power reads, “the day you muster up your army,” referring to the day the Lord goes to war. This moment is the time just prior to the Second Coming when the Lord arises and all His enemies are scattered.

We find a reference to this day in Zephaniah 3:8: “Therefore wait for Me,” says the Lord, “Until the day I rise up for plunder…” (NKJ).

We know that when God goes forth to do battle against the hosts of hell, His people will respond spontaneously. Some translations of this verse read: “Your people will offer themselves as free-will gifts.” Others read: “In the day you muster up your army and go forth to war, your people will volunteer themselves freely for your service.”

I believe that day has arrived! Do not give up on your loved ones who at present seem indifferent. Perhaps the right kind of challenge has not yet come their way. I predict that many believers who now seem uninterested in spiritual things will be the first ones to volunteer when the Lord pours out His Spirit. It is the driest land which responds most to the rain.
