Glorified in His Image

by Keith Butler | Devotions, The Anointed Word

“Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified” (Rom. 8:30 KJV).

God has justified you. That means God has declared you as being righteous. That is the lane he has provided for you. He has provided a limit for you of right standing with Him. In addition, “…whom he justified, them he glorified.” The word glorified means to render or esteem as being glorious and having honor. Before you were ever born, God decided that you were going to be glorious and you were going to have His honor on you.

Well then, of course he would say then in Romans 8:31, “What shall we say then to all these things? If God be for us who can be against us?” He has made you righteous. He has given you the Holy Ghost. He is making everything work out for you, and He has made you into His image.

Then if God (or since God) is for you who can be against you? No one can stand against you with God on your side! You are in His image, and you are glorified and honored in Him!

Jesus we now know is the appointed heir of God, because He shed His blood for us. God, then, freely gives us everything that He gives Jesus. That means you are now also appointed heir of all things. You are an heir of God, and joint heir with the Lord Jesus.

In that event, the Scripture says, “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect?” Did you know that God elected you? God chose you. It is God that justified you. “Who is he that condemneth? It was Christ (the anointed One) that died” (Rom. 8:34).

In other words, who can talk about you? They didn’t die for anybody. They didn’t carry everybody’s sin. What should you care what people say about you? Jesus is the one that died; “yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us” (Rom. 8:34).

Jesus is interceding for us. The Holy Ghost is interceding for us. No wonder if you will cooperate with Him, and take upon His teachings upon you that all things have got to work for your good. The key is your cooperation – your cooperation in prayer and His Word.

Yield yourself as a vessel to be used of God in prayer. Your prayer is vital to the body of Christ and to the whole world. When you are a person of prayer, you are walking in the glory God has given you. You are esteemed by God as having glory and honor. In so doing, His blessings will track you down.
