God Wants To Heal All

by Mark Brazee | 365 Days of Healing

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him” (James 5:14-15).

James was writing to believers here – to the Church of the living God. He asked, “Is there any sick among you?” Notice that He didn’t say, “If there is any sick among you, let him pray and see if, by any chance, God might want him healed.” Nor did James say, “Let him fast and pray for three weeks to see if it’s God’s will to heal him.”

Nothing is said in this Scripture about whether it is God’s will or not. And it doesn’t say, “The Lord shall raise him up-if he is one of the few destined to get healed because the Lord is in a good mood.”

James just tells us, “If there is any sick in the church, let him come up to the front and have the church elders pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”

Then James says, “And the prayer of faith shall [not might] save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (v. 15).

Who is the “him” this verse refers to? “Him” is any sick in the church.

Now, God isn’t confused or mixed up. If it weren’t His will for all to be healed, why would He tell sick people how to get healed? God reveals His will right here in this Scripture. It is His perfect will to heal His children – any who are sick.

Confession:

God has given me several ways to receive my healing. According to

His Word, when I ask the church elders to anoint me with oil and

pray, the prayer of faith will heal me, and God will raise me up!
