“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matt. 16:19 ).
Sometimes we ask, “Why did God allow this illness to come into my life?” But the truth is, we allowed it.
It’s like driving down a highway at breakneck speed and then telling the policeman who pulls you over, “But, Officer, I didn’t realize the speed limit wasn’t 110 miles an hour. I’m sorry.”
The policeman would not say, “Oh, bless your heart. Forgive me, I shouldn’t have pulled you over. I didn’t know you were ignorant of the law.” No, he’d give you a ticket anyway. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
The same thing is true in the spiritual realm. You may say, “I didn’t know I allowed the devil to keep me from receiving my healing.” Yes, but you have the Bible, which gives you all the answers. Ignorance of the Word gives you no excuse.
Sometimes we don’t receive our healing because we allow a door to stay open to the devil. Often the open door is the result of wrong thinking, which is usually the result of wrong teaching. Wrong thinking produces wrong believing, and wrong believing produces wrong results.
The bottom line is this: If you close the door to the enemy and forbid his strategies against you, God stands behind you. If you sit and do nothing, allowing sickness or wrong thoughts to remain in your life, God stands behind you. Whatever you do, God backs you up. He leaves the decision to you – so choose wisely!
My Father has given me authority to choose what to allow or
forbid in my life. So I choose to allow only God’s thoughts
in my mind and His divine health in my body!
