He Leads In Triumph

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

(2 Cor. 2:14)

To triumph means to make an acclamatory procession, or to conquer. It is because of our union with Jesus that we have own our victory. Jesus has won the battle and we, as members of His army, get to claim the spoils of His victory as our own.

The Message Bible says: “And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance.”

God is the one who is always leading us to triumph in Christ. He’s the one revealing the knowledge of Jesus Christ step by step as we walk in faith. We are to put Him first and look for Him in the circumstances we face. We are to simply trust His power to help conquer the issues of our every day life.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Jesus Christ is leading me to victory all the time. Today I follow Him closely and I know that I will succeed.
