“My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isa. 32:18 NKJ).
Have you ever walked into a home and felt peace and serenity? Have you ever been in a home that gave you a feeling of turmoil, confusion, or even hostility? A home will take on the very nature of its residents.
Disciplined and well-adjusted families give a home the feeling of teamwork and harmony. A home filled with bickering and strife exudes a spirit of tension and dissension. A home in which love resides reflects an atmosphere of peace and Joy.
This verse promises peace, security, and tranquility. Since we are called God’s people, it is reasonable to expect His attributes to be demonstrated in our lives and in our homes. Since God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, we can believe for peace to rule and reign in our homes.
Our God also promises us secure dwellings. I believe we can claim a good foundation for our natural homes. Security is assured us against flood, fire, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, or any other natural disturbance.
We know the world is full of potential natural disasters. We also know the Word of God promises us a secure dwelling. I would rather stand on God’s promises and be secure than to allow the fears generated by the news media to dominate my life and make me feel insecure.

Dick Mills was ordained at The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in 1949. He and his wife Betty traveled as evangelists all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and Australia. Dick and Betty are now home in heaven.
In 1966 Dick and Betty became a part of the then-emerging Charismatic Renewal. Passing through all denominational barriers, Dick has had the opportunity to speak in thousands of churches of varied backgrounds all over the world.
He ministered within several Christian organizations, including the Full Gospel Business Men, Women's Aglow, Inter-church Renewal Catholic Pentecostals, mainline Charismatic groups, CBN and TBN television networks, and many other independent Christian TV stations.
Dick appeared on numerous radio talk shows, written several magazine articles, and spoke at many Bible conferences and universities. He served as an adjunct professor at six Schools of the Bible and Seminaries.
In addition, Dick authored and co-authored several books and tapes. Dick's ministry was characterized by the unique gifts God has blessed him with. His services informed, enlightened, and motivated people to a higher level of commitment to God.
