Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.
To think that God purposed to save us, call us, and grace us before time began takes all the pressure off that it has anything to do with how my day is going today. We are God’s own people and that’s eternal.
The Message Bible says: Who first saved us and then called us to this holy work. We had nothing to do with it. It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it.
God decided to save us and have us be His consecrated people. He gives us an enabling measure of His grace. We did nothing to deserve this, but God planned it and called us to it. Before the world was ever formed, God planned that Jesus Christ would be how He would get His love and kindness over to us. Wow, what a plan.
I am holding a form of healthy, faith-filled, loving words today. I show the example of Jesus Christ with both my heart and my tongue.
