"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation" (2 Cor. 5:18-19).

God redeemed the world to Himself through Jesus' work on the Cross. That's why John the Baptist referred to Jesus as "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).

Jesus' work on the Cross is available to anyone and everyone who believes. Therefore, it behooves us to learn what Jesus accomplished on that Cross. When we find that out, we'll know what belongs to us in Him. If physical healing was a part of what Jesus accomplished, then we'll know that healing is God's will and that we can expect divine healing to be a part of our spiritual inheritance.

When we look in the Gospels, we discover what literally happened to Jesus on His way to the Cross: He was beaten. His back was laid open with a whip. He was spat upon, and a crown of thorns was placed on His head. Finally, He was nailed to the Cross, where He hung until He died.

But the Gospels don't really tell us what Jesus purchased for us on the Cross. We can go to the Old Testament to discover more about that. All through the Old Testament, God gives us portraits of our redemption - "word pictures" of what Jesus did for us when He went to the Cross. These portraits are so clear and vivid that everyone should have recognized Jesus when He came to the earth.

For the next several days, let's study more closely these pictures of the Cross. Let's get a greater revelation of our redemption in Christ!

Confession:
To walk in the fullness of God's blessings, I must know what
Jesus did for me on the Cross. My faith grows stronger as I
receive a greater revelation of the finished work of redemption.
