" Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing."
- Psalm 34:9

What does it mean to fear the Lord? It means to give Him total respect and to honor Him. If you fear the Lord, whatever He says, you do it. When you find something in His Word, you make it happen in your life immediately. You're quick to make the necessary changes right away.

God says people who live that way lack nothing. Nothing! That's a pretty big statement, but if you'll read the Bible, you'll see it's true. God has always taken total care of His people. When Israel followed Him, the whole nation had everything they needed. They were strong. They were living well. No enemy could stand before them. They had no sickness or disease.

God doesn't have any problem backing up his promises. The only problem He's had has been finding people who would do what He says.

God knows exactly how to get you out of trouble. He hasn't forgotten how to part the Red Sea. He never changes. When God finds somebody who is fully committed to Him, He's fully committed to him or her.

Second Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

God isn't just willing to rescue you from trouble, He wants to rescue you. He is constantly searching for opportunities to do great thins for you, but He won't force it on you. You'll have to fear Him—give him total respect and honor Him in the way you live around your parents, your classmates and your friends. If you want to walk in His power, you'll have to want it enough to let God be God in your life every day.
