"The other disciples therefore said unto him, 'We have seen the Lord.' But he said unto them, 'Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe'" (John 20:25).

You cannot walk by faith and doubt at the same time. Thomas said, "I must see it with my eyes before I accept it." That is contrary to faith. The basis by which you live must be faith. Thomas is walking by sight. Faith takes God at His Word.

One of the worst things to see is a covenant man desiring a physical sign before he believes. "Lord, if the door opens then I know it must be the way, and if the door closes then I'll know it must not be the way." You're going by physical evidence.

Just because things look like they're not working doesn't necessarily mean it's not the will of God. Satan will accommodate you too. And just because the door seems to be closed doesn't mean it's not God's will for you to have it. God told you to speak to mountains and doors and tell them to get out of the way and open up. You decide that something is or isn't because of what the Word says.

In the Old Testament God gave them signs. But you are born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. For many people, God will not accept babyhood any longer. You've had too much exposure in the Word.

There is nothing wrong with a toddler hobbling around with a load in the pants. You understand that. But there' a problem when your eighteen year-old is walking around with a load in the pants. You don't think that's cute at all. Why? You expect greater responsibility for that eighteen year-old. They ought to be able to clean up their own mess.

So Thomas said, "I am not believing until I see Him." What does Jesus do? John 20:27 says, "Then saith he to Thomas, 'Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.' And Thomas answered and said unto him, 'My Lord and my God.' Jesus saith unto him, 'Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.'"

Have you seen the Lord? Do you believe that He is alive? If you said yes, do you know what the Bible said about you? You are blessed.
