Genesis 1:27-28 says; "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God Blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (fill) the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...."

First, let's notice that God didn't create man just to be another animal on the earth. God created man in His own image and breathed the very eternal Spirit of God into him. Man was closer to being like God than anything that had ever existed before.

Then, the very first thing God did was to bless mankind. Some people think it's humble to live in poverty and lack, but that has never been God's plan for His people. From the beginning, it has always been God's desire for us to walk in the blessings that He has prepared for us.

The Bible says:
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
(2 Peter 1:3-4)
We have many great and precious promises in the Bible that God has already provided for us.

We don't have to continue to walk in lack. We don't have to continue to just get by in life. We can live a full, joyful, peaceful, abundant life by taking hold of God's promises and making them ours by faith.
