An investment is something you contribute to without always seeing a quick or immediate return, trusting that its long-term results will be great.

Here are five investments you can't afford not to make:
  1. Invest in your church. The church is the vehicle by which the Gospel can go forth. Commit to tithe right now.
  2. Invest in missions. Find a person or ministry successfully reaching the lost, and help out by giving or going.
  3. Invest in your financial future. Open a savings or money market account and put something in it every month.
  4. Invest in your career. Find your greatest interest in life (that can make you money) and read books on how to succeed in that area.
  5. Invest in your vocabulary. Words are powerful. Learn new ones all the time, using them to be a better communicator, negotiator, and salesperson.
