Of all Americans (saved and lost), 97 percent are in debt. The godly are suffering at the same rate as the ungodly. This should not be.

I believe God is displeased with the interest and usury that the Body of Christ is giving to the world. We must look to God and His Word as our source first. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 that if we would seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness that the things that we needed would be supplied. However, many who need supply look to the world first. This should not be.

If you always think "borrow," you'll always go to the bank. But if you always think "miracle," you'll always go to God. The bank requires interest. Miracles are interest free!

"Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law" (Rom. 13:8).

In order for us to break free from financial bondage, something must change. If we keep doing what we've always done, then we will have what we've always had and nothing is going to change until something changes!

We must renew our minds. There are some people who think they are debt free just because they are caught up on their payments. That is deception. If you owe a thousand dollars, and your next payment isn't due for thirty days, you still owe a thousand dollars. A debt is a debt until it is paid.

W. C. Fields was a household name a few decades ago. One day he was found reading his Bible backstage and he was asked what he was doing. His response was, "I'm looking for loopholes." You can look for loopholes all you want, but there are no loopholes in the Word of God. Only when we hear, meditate and act on God's Word will the favor and blessings of God come upon us.

We must believe what God says about finances. We must trust Him and understand that His will for us is prosperity and not poverty. We must seek His will for us. Poverty is not a sin, but it is far below God's best and the Bible calls it a curse. Jesus paid the price so that we could be delivered from the curse of the law. We must abide in His Word, know who we are, and break free.
