A word of wisdom has many different uses. God will use it to reveal His plan for our lives. He will show us things through a word of wisdom, so we can help other people. Jesus will protect us through a word of wisdom. Jesus tells us about the future through a word of wisdom. A word of wisdom is a good gift from our Father.
A word of wisdom comes in many different forms. You might receive a word of wisdom through the voice of your spirit. It might come through a dream or a prophecy.
Just like other things that God has created, the devil imitated it with other methods for people to find out about the future. The devil does know some things that will come to pass, but he doesn't know everything like God does.
Some people try to find out about the future by reading their horoscopes in the newspaper. Horoscopes are not from God; they are from the devil. Do we need to read the horoscope to find out about the future? No way! We have God's word of wisdom. God will tell us everything that we need to know about the future if we ask Him to (Jer. 33:3)
Other people will try to find out about the future by looking into what they call a crystal ball. Do we need to look into a crystal ball to bind out about the future? No way! That stuff is of the devil and he's never right. We have God's word of wisdom and that is all we need to find out about the future!
