"For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD" (Ps. 27:5-6 KJV).

Trouble is a burden that the anointing removes. In times of trouble we must run and hide in the presence of God. When we do, He will hide us in the secret of His setting, in the secret of His tent, in the secret of His dwelling place. And while we are there, He will keep us safe.

In David's time God lived in buildings made by men's hands. But change was on the horizon. Because of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, God no longer dwells in places made by men's hands.

The Anointed One, Jesus, has made it so that God now dwells in us. Second Corinthians 6:16 says, "...for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people" (KJV). His anointing is now resident in you and in me!

You are hidden in that anointing. And the thing that is so awesome is that the anointing is always burden-removing, yoke-destroying power. So, since God lives in you, burdens and yokes must bow. Trouble must bow, because the anointing supernaturally causes you to be safe.

It is the anointing that saved Jesus. After He quoted Isaiah 61:1, and said these things are fulfilled in your ears, the people grabbed Him and tried to throw Him off a cliff. But they found they couldn't do it. The Bible said He walked right through them. Now all the time they are trying to grab Him something kept them from touching Him.

That something was a presence of God that stayed between them and Jesus. That something was that Jesus was walking in the secret place of the Father. Why was that? He was anointed. Acts 10:38 said, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power.

Walking in the anointing is being in the secret place. And that anointing keeps you safe in times of trouble. So go to your hiding place, that place of daily prayer and worship before the Father. There you will find refuge, safety, and peace.
