God's greatest desire is to restore man's life back to the way He made it in the garden of Eden, and then make it better. The first thing that Adam had was fellowship with God. He walked in the cool of the garden with God every day and fellowshipped with Him. Because of Jesus, the question has to be asked, "Has that been restored to us?"
What we have seen and [ourselves] heard we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have (which is a distinguishing mark of Christians) is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
(1 John 1:3 AMP)
John said that fellowship, which we have, is a distinguishing mark of Christians. Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, the Messiah. One of the things that denotes whether you are a son of God is your fellowship with God.

A friend of mine used to say that fellowship is two fellows in the same ship. In other words, you are in the same boat with God. God is in the same boat with you. You have communion with God. God has communion with you. There is interaction between you and God.

Sin broke the fellowship between God and Adam. Adam was kicked out of the garden. And God didn't walk in the cool of the garden with him anymore. And He didn't have fellowship with that man anymore. And God didn't start having fellowship with man again until after He found a man that He could call righteous.

We have fellowship with God. Therefore, we should fellowship with Him everyday. That fellowship with God has been restored because of Jesus. God intended to spend time with His family, to have fellowship with His family, to laugh and talk and have interaction with His family. What good is a family if you can't spend time with them? That is God's desire for you and me. And He is going to have it.

There is a nation of people in this earth that fellowships with God. There are billions of people every day who get up in the morning and say, "Father, I love and worship you today. Talk to me today. Lead and guide me today." They are talking to Him at lunchtime. "Father, I want to thank you at noon." They are talking to Him at dinnertime. Fellowship with God has been restored through Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, God can now fellowship with His nation.
