God used different signs and wonders to astound man. Why should it be any different today?

Moses' simple wooden staff was used to bring forth water from a rock, turn a river into blood, split a sea and cause plagues to fall upon Egypt. Not only that; it was turned into a serpent as a sign.

Aaron's rod became alive in the aspect of yielding buds and blossoms with almonds as a sign of his calling. A serpent made of brass was used for a symbol of healing for the Israelites.

One spoken word by Joshua stopped the sun for a day. The mantle of Elijah parted the waters for Elisha. One smooth stone killed a giant for David. Jesus turned water into wine. A coin in a fish's mouth paid taxes.

Five small loaves of bread and two small fish fed five thousand people with 12 baskets left over. Peter walked on water. Mud and spit was put on a blind man's eyes and he saw for the first time. Handkerchiefs and shadows healed the sick.

Do you think these "things" performed the miracles or was it simple faith in God? It was simple faith in God. God uses the foolish things to confound the wise.

At the time these miracles took place and the way they had been performed, it had never been done that way before.

When controversies arise about manifestations in revival meetings, always go back to the Word.

Check with God and see if things bear witness in your spirit. Just because you have never seen it that way does not mean it is not God.

You should judge things by the fruit. Not by outward manifestations.
