The Most High God is a marvelous, glorious individual of unending mystery! The very idea He has always existed and will live forever is amazing. Realizing He can be everywhere at once and know all things is a fascinating concept.

Here's one more divine mystery only He fully understands. Although He is only ONE GOD, yet He is actually three persons in one! From the story of creation, we find God using words like "us" and "our." "Let US make man in OUR image" (Genesis 1:26).

He was clearly talking to someone else, but nothing existed yet but Him. We might ask, "Who was He talking to?" He surely wasn't talking to the animals, and people hadn't been created yet, so He couldn't have been talking to them!

The Most High God was talking to His Son and His Holy Spirit! The Most High God is really God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We call this divine being the "Godhead" or the "Trinity."

This might help us understand better. How many sides does a hanger have? It has three sides, but at the same time it is one single hanger, isn't it?

How many wheels does a tricycle have? It has three wheels, and yet put together on a machine, it makes up one tricycle. If I remove a wheel we can no longer ride it.

If three people sing a song for us, we would call them a "trio," meaning there are three of them singing. They make up one trio, even though there are three individual people in the team.

In a similar sense God is three persons, and yet He is one God. Think of a hard boiled egg. How many parts are there to the egg?

There are three parts. What part can we see right on the outside? We can see the shell. That's one part. If I take the shell away, what would you see next? We see the egg white. That's the second part.

If we remove the egg white, what do we have? We have the yolk. Is the yolk the whole egg? Is the egg white the whole egg? Is the eggshell the whole egg?

No, none of them by themselves is the whole egg. But when we put them all together we have an egg.

In the same way the God is not complete without each person of the Trinity. Without the Father God, without His Son, or without the Spirit, the Most High God is not complete.

Like an egg, each person of the Trinity has a very special purpose. They are all three extremely important to us in different ways.
