God's peace gives you freedom from all fears.

This would be of great concern to people full of fear. Fear seems to consume so many areas of their lives. They live with fear of failure, fear of getting hurt, fear of being rejected, fear of hunger, fear that their children won't succeed, fear that they are not smart enough, fear of being left alone all the days of their lives. (There may be other kinds of fear that come to your mind.)
May grace (God's favor) and peace, (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you.
(2 Peter 1:2 AMP)
The apostle Peter was saying to the Church, "May God's peace and freedom from that fear be multiplied to you through the epignosis - the exact, full knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord."
If these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(2 Peter 1:8)
With the words "these things" here in verse eight, Peter was referring to the seven characteristics he had listed previously in verses five through seven:
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
(2Peter 1:5-7)
When these things are added to your faith - when they are in you, and abound - you will bring forth fruit as you come to know more and more about the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you have been fearful, you can now experience the freedom from those fears. It is available to you because, as verse eight says, it has been multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God. This aspect of God's peace will help to keep you from never stumbling or falling.
