"Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind'" (Matt. 22:37).

Jesus said you need to love God with all your soul, which is your mind, your will, and your emotions. What does it mean to love God with all your mind? It means to love Him with what you think, to love Him in what you allow to go through your brain.

A lot of people say they love God with all their hearts, but then they stop there. He doesn't want just your heart; he wants your mind, your will, your emotions...every part of you.

You need to say, "God, my mind doesn't belong to me. It doesn't belong to the world anymore. It belongs to You. I want to love You by what I allow my brain to think about. I want to honor You by making sure that the things I think on will give You glory."

God doesn't want to occupy just your heart; he wants to occupy your mind. The world gives you plenty of things to think about, plenty of things that will distract you from thinking about the deep things of God.

If He really is the incredible God that He says He is, if He really has made the heavens and the earth, if He really has done all of these mind-blowing things, He ought to be the One who totally lures your mind. He wants to be what you think about more than anything else.

Ask yourself, if people could see all of my thoughts on an overhead projector, would they be able to tell that I really love God? Would that prove that I'm loving God with my mind?

Take a moment to write down three things that you can think about today to show that you are loving God with all your mind.
