An "anomaly" is: a deviation from the normal or common order or form or rule; a person who is unusual; something that is different, abnormal, peculiar or not easily classified within a scientific aspect; outside the norm, inconsistency, irregularity, or abnormal. Any structure, function, or state outside the usual range of variation from the norm.
Are you ready to live the Christian life in a way that deviates from the norm? Will you stand up and step out as an unusual, different, abnormal and peculiar Christian? How about living in such a way that others cannot easily classify you or put you in a box?
How's your Christian life been? Boring? Predictable? Routine? Normal? Carbon-Copy? Cloneville? Are you ready for a faith-filled life on the edge? Over the top? Off the chain? How about the Holy Spirit empowered life that breaks free of tradition? Busts out of same-old, same-old? Blazes a trail for others to follow?
If so—you'll have to be an anomaly! I'm not suggesting you buck authority, turn into an ungodly rebel or do your own thing—but I am suggesting that you stir up a fire, passion, boldness, creativity, innovation and freedom from the fear of man to follow your heart!
When it comes to the current of this world—don't blend in. Be different. Go against the grain of political correctness. Live out your convictions! Preach the gospel and be unashamed!
We're not talking about being a Jesus-freakazoid just for the purpose of being different; we're talking about being a Jesus-person who's fired up to show forth His praises!
Has the Lord been dealing with you about taking your life, ministry, church, business, family, health or relationships to the next level? Be an anomaly and do it! You know the old adage is true, "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll have what you've always had!"
Today, make a decision to take the leap! Go ahead and live 100% of the life Jesus has for you. Why not be the on-fire Christian you've always wanted to be? Do you want to do church different than everyone else? Do it! Passionate about using media, technology, the Internet and other vehicles to get the gospel out? Just be bold and do it! Who cares if it's never been done this way? What difference does man's approval make? If the Holy Spirit is leading you and God is pleased—hit the throttle. Pack your parachute. Fasten your seatbelt. Float your boat. Bust a move. Break free. Be an anomaly!
Say This: "Father, I am so ready to go for it! You can count me all in! I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus and I don't care about the approval of man. I will stand up and step out in my realm of influence. I will take that leap of faith and do the things You've called me to do. I will be a part of that chosen generation. I have no problem being a 'peculiar' person. Today, I will be the godly anomaly You have called me to be—so that I may show forth Your praises! In Jesus' Name. Amen."
